The founder had DIY'd his website on another platform but struggled to make it look professional or something he was proud to share with clients. The back end felt restrictive and unintuitive, making updates frustrating and time-consuming.
Using the content and images provided, I rebuilt and redesigned the website on Squarespace during a half-day session. The goal was to create a clean, engaging, and user-friendly site that reflected the premium service the business provides while being easy to manage.
What We Did
Redesigned the website on Squarespace, balancing the dominant black-and-white brand colours with colour-blocked sections and softened edges to avoid a heavy feel
Strategically placed CTA buttons to drive visitors to request a quote or get in touch via phone
Added subtle animations, including a scrolling logo banner, rotating testimonials, and hover effects on product descriptions, to engage visitors and highlight key information
Expanded and optimised content, including FAQs for SEO
Ensured a responsive design that looks as good on mobile as desktop
Assisted with transferring the domain from a third party to Squarespace for seamless backend management
As a chiller van hire company, the business is extremely busy during the Summer season. The website redesign was completed during the quieter Winter months so it could work efficiently around the clock during peak season.
