Alexander Technique Practitioner: WEBSITE IN ONE DAY
Website Rebuild | Platform: Squarespace | Timeline: 1 Day
Two years into building an Alexander Technique practice in North West London, my client had grown steadily through flyers, word of mouth, and the kind of quiet reputation that takes real dedication to build. But her DIY website wasn't attracting new clients, wasn't ranking on Google, and wasn't doing justice to the depth of expertise behind the practice. With a clear ambition to reach clinicians, NHS referrers and dentists alongside her existing client base, and with more people turning to Google and AI search tools to find practitioners, it was time for a website that could open the next chapter.
In one day, we built it.
What We Did
Rebuilt the site from the ground up on Squarespace, creating a calm, warm and welcoming design that positions my client as a credible, specialist practitioner from the very first scroll.
Structured the content to speak directly to two distinct audiences: people living with chronic pain, tension and postural issues looking for relief, and the clinicians, NHS professionals and dentists who may refer them.
Created dedicated condition-specific sections throughout the site, covering back pain, neck and shoulder pain, Parkinson's, arthritis, hypermobility and more, giving the site genuine depth and the kind of symptom-led content that helps it get found on Google and AI search tools like ChatGPT.
Built a clear, simple booking journey with confident calls to action throughout, making it easy for prospective clients to take the next step from any point on the site.
Set up and launched a blog with four posts from day one, giving the site a running head start on the SEO-rich content that helps practitioners get found in competitive local searches.
Added a lead magnet and mailing list sign-up, offering a free beginner's guide to active rest as a way to capture interest and begin building a community of engaged potential clients.
Included a dedicated reviews page, FAQs, and a full About page that brings the practitioner's personal journey with chronic pain and her NHS background to life, building the trust that turns a website visitor into a booking.
The result is a site that does exactly what a specialist practice website should: it educates, it reassures, and it converts. Visitors arrive with a pain or a question, and leave knowing they've found the right person. The depth of content positions my client as a genuine expert in her field, while the warm, uncluttered design makes the whole experience feel approachable rather than clinical.
Two years in, her website is now working as hard as she is.
"Ruth was so easy to work with and she really knows how to create and build exactly the right website for you and your business. She captured the essence of my business and turned my content into a professional, stylish, informative and engaging website that I feel proud of. I couldn't really envisage how it was all going to be built in one day but the build day worked like clockwork. I was able to review each page as the first draft was finished and Ruth was so responsive and speedy in making any changes. The aftercare support is also excellent. Ruth is a website genius and I would highly recommend her."
One day. One designer. A website that finally works as hard as the practice behind it.
