Why My Done in a Day Website Service Got a Shout-Out on a Freelance Podcast

I was so delighted to be mentioned on the Freelance Business Unlocked podcast recently — and not just any episode, but episode #73: "Having it all & staying sane as a solo business owner" featuring the brilliant Fiona Gray.

Fiona is a previous Done in a Day client, and she spoke so kindly about her experience working with me to launch her website — including how helpful she found the content workbook that comes with the service.

Here’s what she said:

“I worked with a web designer who offers a Done-in-a-Day service. And this was perfect for me. She’s amazing — her name’s Ruth Gaunt. And she has a copy workbook… this really helped me. It was a PDF I had to fill in to give to her, so she had literally everything she needed to produce my website in a day.”

She went on to say:

“What I got was kind of a bit of structure, which really helped... it asked the background questions, you had to think about everything, and then you write the copy. So this really helped.”

Hearing this made my day. I designed the Done in a Day service — and the workbook that comes with it — to take the overwhelm out of getting a website live. It’s all about clarity, momentum, and getting the job done without dragging on for weeks (or months!).

A huge thank you to Fiona for the shout-out. You can listen to the full episode here — it's packed with insight on running a solo business while staying sane, especially as a parent.

If you're curious about the Done in a Day experience, here’s where you can learn more. (Spoiler: yes, we really do build your site in a day — and no, it’s not stressful!)
