Five ways to generate more income through your website this holiday season
I get it, I really do! Summer is still in full swing, and here I am mentioning the “C-word”!
But just hear me out! As we transition into the fall months, many of us in the business world start to think about the upcoming holiday season and how we can tweak or introduce new offerings to boost our income. The great news is that you can accomplish a lot of this right through your current Squarespace website! There’s no need to add more processes, subscriptions, or stress—let’s make the most of what you already have.
Keep reading for five ideas on how to create new revenue streams on your website tailored for the holiday season!
1. Offer gift cards for your products or services
If you provide physical or digital products or services, consider giving your audience the chance to buy a gift card. Setting this up is simple with a ‘Store’ page, and you can select the available amounts. Remember to promote these gift cards to your current audience, as they can be an excellent way to attract new clients.
2. Curate holiday hampers or product bundles
Consider creating bundles or hampers from your current products and services. You could make these available for a limited time only and even pair them with a little holiday discount to entice customers. If you run a local physical store that typically doesn’t sell products, you can choose to have delivery set to ‘collection only’, which means you won’t have to deal with the hassle of packing and shipping!
3. Create a holiday-specific downloadable or workshop
Does your audience require extra assistance or face challenges that come with the season? Consider developing a special downloadable resource or a limited-time workshop. For instance, you could create a video titled ‘How to Nail the Perfect Christmas Party Look’ for your beauty brand, or provide a PDF guide called ‘10 Tips to Manage Christmas Stress’ for your therapy practice. These types of resources can also serve as effective lead magnets!
4. Host a one-off live event or Q&A session
Connect with your audience and share the festive spirit by hosting a unique virtual event or a group Q&A session. Consider reaching out to your followers through social media polls or feedback in your newsletter to find out what they would love to see from you or how you can assist them in the coming months.
5, Offer a holiday discount, or bonus product for a limited time
I totally understand that during the holidays, with all the sales like Black Friday, Cyber Monday, and Boxing Day, it can feel a bit much. If you're not keen on providing a holiday discount, consider adding a special freebie to orders for a limited time instead!
